Dazee’s Dance Hall

Dazee Bristol first created “Hiram’s Dance Hall” for the Cheyenne Frontier Days Parades in 1926. Dazee’s original float featured square-dancers being entertained by Hiram Davidson who had gained renown as an old-time fiddler and square-dance caller during Wyoming’s early days. Dazee Bristol herself played a foot-powered organ on this float from 1926 until the early 1970’s. Cheyenne Frontier Days Parades Committee volunteers recently built this beautiful replica and renamed it “Dazee’s Dance Hall” in her honor.
