Indian Float

The Little Sun Drum & Dance Group are primarily from the Wind River Reservation of Wyoming. We have dancers and singers from the Northern Arapaho, Eastern Shoshone, Lakota, and Dakota Tribal Nations.

The regalia and beadwork represent our families and tribal affiliations of the Northern Plains. The use of the beautiful parasols/umbrellas is reflective of the Lakota people who were instrumental in the incorporation and adaption of this item from the time period of the late 1800s.

We are teachers, coaches, administrative assistants, and elementary, high school, and college students. We are from strong, traditional families who believe in the strength of our cultural identity. We are happy to share our culture and help enhance the theme of Cheyenne Frontier Days. We welcome everyone to the Indian Village to share in our lively and culturally unique performances.
